The International Space Education Institute e.V. is a non-profit association for the promotion of young researchers and scientists. It is financed by membership fees, donations, sponsors and a commercial operation in Leipzig with an annual turnover of approximately €250,000 (2019).
The association headquarters is located on the campus of the Jesco von Puttkamer School in Leipzig with a workshop, rocket garden, hotel and a parking lot. From there, projects in over 30 countries are supervised. The organisation is primarily designed as a bridge builder between countries and their youth, scientific, non-denominational and politically independent. Above all, the visions of young people are promoted and realised through experience and practice (hands-on, face-to-face). Many of them solidify their life plans and become influential figures in our present.
Foreign branches are currently operated in the USA, Russia, India and Latin America through partnerships.
