From 1-3. October 2021, the 1st International Space & Science Festival started differently than originally planned on the Jesco von Puttkamer Campus in Leipzig. On Friday, 7 stands were set up as a "Factory of the Future" on which the registered students could try out under the guidance of international students of aerospace from the Universities “Universidad Aeronáutica en Querétaro“ and Tec Monterrey Curnavaca.
There were the following stations:
On Saturday the festival transmitted a 4-hour live stream with 60 program items. The 6 station managers of the "Factory of the Future" were invited, who gave a lecture on the concept of the festival as part of their international internship. Then numerous international teams from the USA, Bolivia, Mexico, Brazil, India and Nepal had their presentations. The highlight of the lectures was the appearance of the future astronaut Jasleen Kaur from Houston and the reigning world champion on a NASA Rover, Firine Bugenhagen from Berlin.
On Sunday, technical discussions took place among the partners of the festival on the Jesco von Puttkamer Campus in Leipzig. Many new ideas were born.
This festival takes place annually in different locations around the world. The first venue was the Jesco von Puttkamer Campus in Leipzig from October 1-3, 2021.
We are looking for talented young amateur researchers and craftspeople who want to change their future with their wit, creativity, skills and present their work and ideas at the festival.
We offer an independent platform to present all applied projects, talents and those who want to discover them. We are always available both live and virtually!
Great prizes are in store for the winners, such as trips to NASA, training in the US SpaceCamp or Russian spaceflight, awards, certificates and prize money. The globally successful international NASA junior teams also invite you to the exciting "Beat the Rovernauts" competition.
